You spent real money on a pair of embroidered jeans. A little care keeps the denim dark, the fit right, and the embroidery intact for years instead of months. Here's the simple routine.
Wash less than you think
Denim doesn't need washing after every wear — in fact, washing too often is what fades it fastest. Air it out between wears and only wash when it genuinely needs it. Your jeans keep their color and shape far longer.
Turn them inside out
Before washing, always turn embroidered denim inside out. This protects the stitching and the surface of the fabric from rubbing against everything else in the drum. It's the single most important step for embroidery.
Cold water, gentle cycle
Cold water preserves both the dye and the thread. Hot water fades denim and can loosen embroidery over time. Gentle cycle, cold wash, mild detergent — and skip the bleach and fabric softener entirely.
Never tumble dry
Heat is the enemy of both denim and embroidery. The dryer shrinks the fabric, fades the color, and stresses the stitching. Hang dry every time. It takes longer, but it's the difference between jeans that last one season and jeans that last years.
Spot-clean when you can
Small mark? Spot-clean it instead of washing the whole pair. Less washing means less fading and less wear on the embroidery.
Store them properly
Fold over a hanger or lay them flat. Cramming embroidered pieces into a stuffed drawer can crush the stitching over time.
